Ter’s Facebook Tips for Business
Revisit Your “About” Section…
With your contact and basic info, offer every possible way
one can contact you; make it easy to do business with you instead of struggling
to find your email, website, etc., and go somewhere else. A big mistake I see is
that so many Facebook Business pages do not have the “message” button. Choose
your buttons carefully. Know that when you use the “call us” button that you’ll
get calls! That’s great if that’s the way you want to communicate. And if so,
consider having an answering machine to take calls after hours. But who really
wants to listen to phone messages right away in the morning?
Use only the about tabs that you know will get you business... paying customers. If you think that your work, education, and places live will enthrall
readers to throw money at you then put something in those, if not leave them
blank. The Details and Life Events should not so much be about “you” unless the
business is “you” as an accountant, coach, etc., but more about the business.
So use business events or things about the business. Give your business a
personality and life; it is a “thing” and this is its page!
Be sure to use adjectives and reasons to do business with you
and your company in each category. Every piece of “digital real estate” on your
Business Facebook page should be working to bring in calls and sell your
product and service. Revisit and update your page periodically.
I suggest that you visit my branding business page, https://www.facebook.com/TerryScottBranding,
and see how I’ve done a few things (which I’m constantly updating) and buy
something when you are there! J
